Alpbach - Mars Summer School

My first journey down the road to the schoolhouse
which was to be the venue for the summer school.

|
After registration the participants gathered on the deck
outside the schoolhouse.
|
|
The proceedings open with a welcome by Peter Jankowitsch,
Chairman of the board of ASA.
|
|
|
and Johannes Ortner, Summer School Director.
|
|
At the lunch break, Jens Ormö and I head back up to the town
along the alternate path that avoids the traffic.
|
|
|
Where we stop for a currywurst and pommes at the Alpbacher
Grillstüberl.
|
|
Breaking for coffee after our first lecture of the afternoon.
|
|
|
And then after the last lecture of the day, we retire to the
Hotel Böglerhof welcome coctails
|
|
at our first course dinner, (left to right) Julia Lanz, Jens Ormö,
