Saturday Hike - Part 4

a final look at the spectacular scenery before..
a marked reduction in visibility as the cloud cover moved in..
This may look out of focus, but we were now engulfed in mist soon turned to a persistent rain..
At last we reach the summit, where the soggy group gather to admire a panoramic view of mist, uninterrupted by scenery.
and of course to pose for a photographic record of the momentous event..
Just below the summit is a slight rocky overhang where we are able to huddle briefly for lunch.
and then we embark on our slippery decent.
with still plenty of rain..
and still quite limited visibility
the weather begins to clear as we emerge back into the farmland.
This bad cow was one of the culprits that had been teasing us, impersonating Johannes by ringing a replica of our 'morning tea' bell as we were struggling up the mountain..
a group heads off for morning tea??
