Alpbach - Mars Summer School
Friday 13th August - Home via Munich
After checking out of my accommodation at 11:00, I head up
to the bus stop to catch the 11:51 bus to Brixlegg Bahnhoff,
and meet Jens and Rosa intending to catch the same bus.
Right on time, the bus pulling around the corner in the
background..
Jens and Rosa on the way to Brixlegg
Mary Koukouli, who caught the same bus, waiting
at the Bahnhoff.
Rosa, Mary and Jens at the Bahnhoff.
arriving at Munich with plenty of time before for first of
our flights, we look for a some luggage lockers so that we
can spend some time exploring the city.
The group has grown by the time we emerge into Munich,
having encountered a few more people from the Summer School
while wandering the station.
The one with the tie (who looks like someone from "Men in Black")
definitely wasn't from the summer school.
resting in a small park before making our way back to
the station for our trip to the airport.
and one more that Mary didn't seem to be expecting..
This significance of these vehicles (which if you look very hard
have the word "Zeppelin" printed on the side) will probably only
be apparent to the designers of the first precursor mission....
Finally it was off to the Airport. The worried looks were because
we were not sure if that was where this train was actually going...
(as it turned out, only part of the train was going to the airport,
so we had to make a hasty change of carriage later on)
And finally flying into London (in case you didn't recognize it)
at 23:00.
