Zodiac recon at Pleneau Island

On Sunday, after traversing the Lamaire channel, we board the zodiacs for a cruise around the icebergs near Pleneau Island - an adventure that was almost cancelled due to the 60 knot winds.

The icy water, strong wind and lack of shelter make appropriate dress very important ..

but the spray and bulky clothes make operating photagraphic equipment a challenge

But the striking scenery make it necessary to try..
