Making our way back to Moscow
August 24th to 27th, back on the Trans-Siberian
| Tuesday August 26th at 17:55, as our second day on the train draws to a close. As with the journey out, the third class carriages were not air conditioned and tended to get a little hot. But apart from the tropical conditions, they were quite comfortable. |

| On August 27th, 11:52am lying on my upper bunk, showing what the sleeping accommodation was like in our carriage. At night the bench seats we were sitting on in the preceding pictures became the lower bunks. |

| At 13:55, with just over three hours to go, we were counting down the minutes and trying to make our final meal last to pass the time. |

At 14:47 with just over two hours till Moscow, we are busy
trying to use up the last of our provisions to minimise the
amount that we have to pack and carry home.
Lena was quite keen on the condensed milk, and made sure none was wasted.. |
| At 17:08 we have arrived back at Yaroslavl Station, Moscow. We are now just a Metro ride from home. |

August 28th, Back in Moscow
|
Thursday 28th, 22:48 after a day of admiring ICBMs at
Moscow's military museum and some last minute shopping
before my flight the following morning.
Masha had come along in the evening to help with the shopping, and joined us for the farewell dinner at Lena's place. |
