Saturday 24th - Day 1 At Pooks

Jaime, Alejandra, Joe, Jan and Paul prepare for our first trip into the field at Pooks Hill.
We start our tour of the Pooks hill sites with the local dump (which probably differs from your average tour group). This is a favorite site for finding Pooks Pebbles.

At lunch time, we find a more scenic place to stop. Here Tim explores the area surrounding the small bridge that we cross just before our picnic site, with Jan and Joel on the bridge in the background.

During lunch we have our first real occasion to consider breaking out raincoats. But it takes more than a rain storm to distract Al from his work.

While Bruce contemplates a Pine Rock Ridge sign warning that this is the Last Cold Beer on the road to Carocol .
On the way to our next site, we stop at the Five Sisters museum and shop for those that wish to stock up on suveneirs and gifts.
