Monday/Tuesday - Last days at Pooks Hill

On Thursday we head back out into the field, and find another type of scorpion.
Roger, Paul and I accompany Adriana on a quest for pooks pebbles (smooth, striated products of ballistic flow), which we found at a spot which, thanks to a recent rain fall and a misjudging of our vehicles capabilities, came to be known as 'slippery road'.
While the rest of the group have an enjoyable day at the dump.
On our way back from the field, we stop to see the Cahal Pech (Tick City) Mayan Ruins. There is a centre housing a large collection of artefacts found at the site, plus human remains.
Looking down from the ancient observatory.
A view from within the ruins.
Me, standing on the steps of the ruins.
