Sunday - Breakfast at Cafe am Ufer

On my last day in Berlin, Claudia offers to show me a typical Berlin Frühstuck (breakfast), so we met at the Schönleinstr U-Bhf and headed for the Cafe am Ufer..
Claudia consults her trusty guide book (which was in French, so wasn't much use to me) to work out what we could see before my flight that evening. We arrived at 10:00, and the resturants were practically deserted - so Berliners obviously keep very civilised hours. They also drink very decent sized cups of coffee for breakfast.
And they also have a very decent sized breakfast with their coffee..

Spandau

We decide on Spandau, which is as far as it is possible to go on Claudia's favorite U-Bahn - the U7.
Approaching the Spandau Citadel, a fortress with parts dating back before the city was created in 1232.
Claudia surveys the courtyard inside the main gate.
The view from one of the towers, from which it is possible to see the tower in Alexanderplatz in the distance.
Taking what is almost my last look at Berlin from the fortress tower. For some reason it looks like I am standing next to a very small German, but I think it is an optical illusion.
