Registration and the Martian Party
At 17:00 I meet Claudia Mosangini, who handles the registration of
those of us staying at the Lido del Sirene. Claudia specialises in
Martian Geology, and is from the research group at Universita'
d'Annunzio, currently working at DLR in Berlin.
Sunday evening - a first gathering for dinner

That evening, Antonio Baliva from the Universita' d'Annunzio,
Claudia, and two of Claudia's colleagues from DLR,
Lyuba Moroz and Peter Schuster, take Marcus Zellhuber (one of
my fellow Lido del Sirenians - the others stayed at the
Hotel Alba in town, so I suppose they are the Albanians..)
and myself on an epic journey
through Pescara in search of the ultimate pizzaria (or at
least one that is open on Sunday night..).

In an attempt to get into the picture, I hand the camera
to one of the waiters. I think this is what the resturant
looked like after several glasses of Italian wine. I am the
blur on the extreme left.

Monday evening - The Martian Party

An informal gathering is organised near the Lido del Sirene
after our first day of lectures.
