Saturday December 25th - Christmas in Moscow
I arrived in Moscow at about 20:20 on Christmas Eve. Lena had insisted on meeting me at the airport, but I had rather longer to wait than expected after she managed to get on the wrong bus.

Monday December 27th - Preparing to depart for Kolsky
Lena had spent all Sunday shopping for her skiing outfit, and I did some shopping for interesting Russian CDs. On Monday it was time to pack for our departure, as our train to Kolsky was due to depart just after midnight.
| At 18:54 at Lena's - I can't remember exactly what we were doing at that point, but she seems to be putting on some music, and judging by the apron has probably just finished making some dinner. |
| At 20:02 we have evidently finished dinner, and Lena seems to be in good spirits. |
