Moving in to the Seaside House
Thursday December 30th

The following afternoon, at just before 17:00, out walking with
Natasha.

At the Seaside House
|
We caught a late bus to the other end of the village, where
we were to move into the seaside house. So it was well and
truly dark when we arrived, and to make matters worse, we
discovered when we arrived that we had no electricity.
As a result, here is a sneak preview from the pictures I took the following day so that you know what the house we were moving into looks like. |

Our neighbors heard us moving in, and came to our rescue with some
Russian improvised electrics. Having determined that the problem was
not a simple fuse or short, this involved running an extension
cord from next door, and re-wiring the fuse box, without worrying
about niceties such as actually turning the power off while doing
it. They also scrambled up onto our roof at one point to check the
point where the electric power was cabled in. They also helped us
get our fire started.
I don't recall why I took this picture of Masha at 04:36, but I think we were rather close to being organized at this point. |

At 4:56, It looks like we have our power sorted out, and I have obviously
managed to get the camera back from Masha.
It looks like Lena, like a good Russian girl, is at work in the kitchen. |

| At 05:04 Masha and Sasha are sitting by the fire, and judging by Masha's attire we are still getting the place warm.. |
| Lena is still in the kitchen. I am not sure if she was cooking something or just getting warm by the stove. |

| It must have been getting warmer, as the jumper has now come off. |
| At 05:11 we have settled in, and try find a place to balance the camera in an attempt to get a group photo in our new home. |

| After several attempts we manage to get the framing acceptable. |
