Tuesday - Impact Cratering, Venus and the Basilevsky residence

Tuesday morning in my room (664L) at Moscow University. The rooms were arranged in pairs that shared common bathroom, toilet and refrigerator. This picture of me was taken by Augustine, with whom I shared facilities.
After the presentations at the Vernadsky Institute, the foreign visitors were treated to some Russian hospitality at the homes of our hosts. Here Stephanie (Kiel) and Thomas (Berlin) lead one of the groups out into the evening.
where in the rapidly diminishing light, Sasha Basilevsky can be seen deftly guiding our party to his home..
Where Sasha and his wife (middle and right) treat us to an amazing banquet of Russian cuisine.
Even if I had used a flash, you would not have been able to see the table for all the food.
Stephanie and (I think) Thomas' nose.
Julia Nikolajeva, our guide for many of the cultural activities, spoke perfect English.
